The Herbaliser is an English jazz-hip hop group formed in London in 1993/1994 by Ollie Teeba and Jake Wherry. Initially a sample-based duo known for their unique blend of hip hop, jazz, soul, and old movie soundtrack samples, they signed with Ninja Tune in the mid-90s, releasing albums like Remedies. The duo later expanded to a live 8-piece band for touring and some recordings, and their music evolved to incorporate more live instrumentation, with guest vocalists also featured on many tracks. In 2020, the creative partnership between Teeba and Wherry came to an end
