Closing the first weekend of 2024 On The Beach summer series, we are thrilled to announce that one of the UK's most beloved indie-rock bands, The Kooks will be headlining the iconic Brighton Beach on Sunday 21st July.

When you look back at the sea of mid-noughties indie bands, there are few still standing and even fewer, some fifteen years later, who are still experiencing career highs. But this was the precise spot The Kooks found themselves in, four years ago.

After a worldwide arena tour, the release of their 2018 UK Top Ten album ‘Let’s Go Sunshine’ saw the Brighton band topping the bill at festivals across Europe and at home. The streaming boom had opened up The Kooks up to a new audience of young fans who loved their distinctive brand of indie rock and were itching to see them play live.

Joined on the day by six more acts; Sea Girls who known for their chart-topping indie rock anthems and energetic live shows, mercury prize nominated Maximo Park and Kate Nash bringing the infectious songs that still stand strong today. Opening the day are Fred Roberts, Brooke Combe and Nieve Ella – three electrifying artists, each with a unique style.

Get ready for a nostalgic night to end the first weekend of amazing music at one of Britain's most iconic beaches.
