Forged during COVID-19 lockdown in a Melbourne house studio, Playlunch is the chaotic, genre-blending fusion of retro dance music, late ’90s/early 2000s Australian nostalgia and tongue-in-cheek suburban swagger, the band has carved out its own irreverent lane dubbed “Bogan Funk.”
