VOLKS x JOY. is a new showcase series focused on some of the most exciting artists from the UK’s grassroots music scene to Brighton’s iconic seafront. Building on VOLKS’ 30-year history as a pioneering home for Brighton’s underground electronic scene, and JOY’s continued commitment to nurturing emerging talent. These showcases will focus on both electronic live music and DIY artists. The collaboration provides a platform for emerging acts from both Brighton and across the UK, helping to develop the next generation of touring artists. With a programme spanning from electronic live acts, alternative, experimental, indie, club-focused sounds and beyond. VOLKS x JOY will create a space for artists to experiment, connect and build their audiences, while keeping live music accessible and affordable for local communities. These free-entry showcases form part of our ongoing dedication to supporting new and upcoming talent, alongside VOLKS’ longstanding role as a grassroots cultural hub. Together, the series aims to champion independent music, create opportunities for artists and celebrate the diverse sounds shaping the UK’s underground scene.
