THE ORDINARY BOYS

The Ordinary Boys are an English indie rock band formed in 2002 in Worthing, West Sussex, originally named Next in Line. They blend mod, Britpop and punk influences, and take their name from a Morrissey song. The band’s early success came with the 2004 debut Over the Counter Culture and follow-ups Brassbound (2005) and How to Get Everything You Ever Wanted in Ten Easy Steps (2006), spawning hit singles like “Boys Will Be Boys,” “Nine2Five” and “I Luv U.”

A surge in popularity followed lead singer Preston’s appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, helping “Boys Will Be Boys” reach the UK Top 3. After a break in 2008, the band reunited in the early 2010s and released a self-titled album in 2015, returning to touring and recording. They’ve continued to release new music and perform live, maintaining their energetic indie rock presence.
